The Madness of Feminism Run Amok

By Tera Ertz

I have been following along with the supposed allegations against Herman Cain the last few days.  I think there have been plenty of folks who have pointed out the inconsistencies, the anonymous nature of the accusations, the fact that none of this came to light in his Senate bid, and the similarities to the Clarence Thomas witch hunt.  For those now trumpeting Cain’s doom as a candidate, please note that last item.  Justice Thomas was smeared in much the same manner, the left went after him with a vengeance.  When they couldn’t attack his positions, they tried to attack his character.  But, in the end, Clarence Thomas became Justice Thomas and a conservative black man took his place upon the highest court in the land.  But, that wasn’t the focus of my thoughts as I read through one more article yesterday, alleging yet another anonymous lady (and I use the term loosely) coming forth to stake her claim to 15 minutes of anonymous fame.

I clicked onto an article at Newsmax, claiming one more person piling on, and other folks rushing in to back up the claims.  As I was reading through to the end of the article a couple of lines struck me.

“Especially since I have very talented employees that happen to be women. I go out of my way to treat them like my sisters. For example, I wouldn’t tell them or any other woman I am not married to nor related to how pretty she is.”

This quote was from a Mr. Deace who works at a radio station where Mr. Cain apparently did an interview.  His other quotes pretty much run along the lines of all men are dogs and if we don’t have our wives or other men around we’re likely to jump the nearest pair of legs in a skirt.  I’d have to say that Mr. Deace needs to find a better class of male friends.  But beyond that, this statement pretty much sums up the absolute mess we’ve made of our culture since the advent of radical feminism.

Did you know that there was time in this country’s history where it would have been considered tremendously impolite for a man NOT to open the door for a woman?  Or how about that there was a time when a secretary would have been hurt and insulted if her boss did not notice her new hair cut and comment on how nice it looked?  Or any number of other niceties that have been lost over the past several decades, most notably in the 90s (not expecting an intern to fulfill your Freudian fantasies comes to mind, but I digress)?

I realize that the original feminist movement was about equality.  It was about gaining the same rights as every other citizen, to own property, to hold a job, to vote.  It was a positive goal, until it was achieved and the movement was taken over by radical socialists bent on eliminating the natural differences and civilized behavior between men and women.  They promoted free sex by calling it free love and the sexual revolution.  They started telling us that our little boys should play with dolls (but not Barbie because that’d be sexist) and our little girls should play doctor.  They started promoting sex in grade school, then stared promoting alternative sexual lifestyles in some places as early as kindergarten.

At the same time, they started propagating rules to “protect” women from the big, bad evil men.  Again, some of these had worthy goals.  It was a net good when laws were put in place to give the victim a fair shake in a rape case.  But some of them devalued the lives of human beings by claiming babies were nothing but a blob of cells and a heartbeat was just a sound until after that baby had taken its first breath.  And then they made rules that said no one had to show those women the pictures of that blob of cells, or have her hear that sound before she chose to end a life, because that was just mean men trying to put an undue burden on her.  And then there were the harassment rules.

I say rules because most of these were not laws.  Sexual harassment rules in the workplace were first propagated in the regulatory places like OSHA and such.  They were by design too vague to be much use.  Women didn’t know if they were being harassed or what to do about it if they were.  Men didn’t know what constituted harassment or how some ticked off woman would react to being reprimanded or fired.  There was no burden of proof.  The lawyers had a feeding frenzy as they convinced women that they were the victim of workplace discrimination and sexual harassment.  And there were some women out there, mostly educated by our more and more radical higher education system, who took up the call to action.  They went from demanding equality to proclaiming their victim status merely because of their internal plumbing.

And here we stand today, where bathroom and shower space in the military is an issue because of same sex acceptance.  Boys and girls are learning how to put on a condom but half of them can’t read.  Being a woman, according to the last Speaker of the House, is a pre-existing medical condition.  TV shows glorify abortion and single motherhood.  And women cry rape or harassment to get their fifteen minutes of fame by taking down successful men.

And the rest of us sane women, who like men, and like being moms, and enjoy being looked at are left in a darker, sadder and crasser world.  We long for the days where men were men, we didn’t have to take out the trash or change the oil, and heads turned and mouths dropped when we put on our heels, dressed to the nines and went out on the town, or just to the office.  Why would anyone want to live in a world where no one can tell you you’re pretty for fear of getting sued?

If the TEA Party says ANYTHING against Obama they are labeled “racist”

Almost 1/2 the democrats supported Hillary over Obama so I guess that means that amost 50% of democrats are racists, right??? We know that blacks are racist because 98% of them voted for Obama ONLY because he is black!

The democrats hate Cain because they are really as racist as they were in the 60s when they fought against civil rights! They only cater to the blacks for their votes and keep them in welfare so they have a way to buy those votes.

  2. OMG! You are so on the money. I’m a women and just can’t stand these silly women who have no personality. It’s not just men who get crap. I told another women she looked nice today, and she gave me a bitch stare and said, “I have a boyfriend”. I mean really come on. I don’t play for that team.

What is even worse is my father’s generation grew up that holding a door open for a lady is proper. It’s sad that one time when he did the lady bitched at him and said, “I can get the door myself.” and then went through a different door.

    It’s just sad.

Great article and right on the money! Some of us miss the days when men were men and women were women and each was appreciated as such!

Glad to know I’m not the only one that feels this way some days. I have four boys, and I’m trying to teach them to be gentlemen, in spite of the fact that they may take some flack for it. And I have one girl I have taught to be a lady and appreciate men who will treat her like one. This kind of crap just drives me to distraction.

Great article Tera! I have said for years that feminism was an evil, that has made a mess out of our world, not to mention sissies of our men, it has made our men recentful and has dug a huge hole for those of us who appeciated being treated like a lady! Shame on the feminists!!!!
