Richard Mourdock

Indiana Republican Senate candidate Richard Mourdock said Tuesday, when discussing the issue of abortion and sanctity of life

“I struggled with it myself for a long time, but I came to realize that life is that gift from God. And, I think, even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen.”

Mr. Mourdock took a strong pro-life stance, saying that he opposes abortion in every case, except where the life of the mother is at risk (tubal pregnancy).

I agree with Mr. Mourdock’s perspectives.

Not surprising, liberals claim he is a part of a “war on women”. Allegedly, even the Romney campaign is not pleased with his comments (that is unconfirmed).

God tempts no man to do evil (James 1:13). Hence, no rape is the will of God.

However, no life exists except that God grants that life. If a woman is impregnated during the course of a rape, it is indeed a very tragic circumstance for a conception of a pregnancy. Yet, even then, God allowed that conception to take place for purposes that cannot possibly  be perceived through our human lenses.

In effect, God is the giver of life. If a life is granted through conception during a rape,  it is indeed the will of God.

Mr. Mourdock understands the difference between the sovereignty of God, which grants us a life of free will, sin and consequence. The gift of life is within the realm of God’s sovereign will. Only he knows why he granted that life.

Mr. Mourdock also understands God’s general will, which is revealed to us in the Word of God, which we know as the Bible. God’s general will is clear: “Thou  shall not murder.”

Abortion is murder. There is no situation in which God has blessed the choice of murder.

In the final analysis, it is not so much that Mr. Mourdock has declared war on women. Instead, he has pledged his faith to God and is committed to being obedient to the Word and will of God.

The real issue is that liberals have declared war on God. They use straw man arguments and ad-hominem attacks in an attempt to deceive those who are lacking understand of who God is and what God is like:

“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil. And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.”- Romans 16:17-20

Liberals are not serving the best interest of women. They are not serving the best interest of unborn children. Most of all, they are not serving the interest of God.

They are serving a self-centered, satanic agenda that they carry out through political corruption and intimidation.

Fret not, for God is not mocked and he shall crush their agenda under his feet.

Richard Mourdock, keep standing strong for the sanctity of life!!

Great post, Stacy! Funny enough I had a heated discussion with a liberal today about this very topic. My argument was based on a similar tenet.

The fellow then proceeded to tell me that I’m imposing my religion on him at which point I brought up the constitution which states that since its essentially punishing/ killing a baby, which is a human being, that under the constitution every human has the right to a jury of peers under the 6th amendment and the conversation pretty much ended there.

    Anyhow, thanks for posting this.
