“Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.”- Isaiah 1:9,10
I start every day off with Bible study. I am currently reading the Book of Isaiah.
It occurred to me this morning that America is similar to Sodom and Gomorrah, in that it is experiencing cultural and spiritual perversions throughout the land.
What God has long considered unacceptable has become “the norm”. Worse yet, men and woman in the very government that God has ordained have used government to turn people away from God.
All seems hopeless.
However, there is indeed hope for America: The Remnant who remain.
One Bible Dictionary defines “remnant” as “What is left of a community after it undergoes a catastrophe”.
America has undergone a “catastrophe”, culturally and spiritually, for many decades. Those who hate God are relentless in their agenda to remove God even from the marketplace of ideas. “In God we trust” is not wanted on money, in the schools, or in the courtrooms.
It has reached an apex with the election of President Barack Obama and the unmasking of the most anti- God agenda ever seen from the White House.
However, America is still filled with true Christians who take God at His Word. Who will serve Him, regardless of what corrupt politicians legislate. No matter what popular culture normalizes.
Bible believing, uncompromising, prayerful Christians are indeed the “remnant” in America. It is they who shall save this nation from the ultimate destruction that the masses appear to be pushing this great nation towards.
So do not despair, my fellow Believers, as the situation appears increasingly grim in government and even in society. Stay prayed up. Stay faithful to God.
He will show Himself strong on your behalf and the destruction intended by those who reject God will not see a full fruition, for God will honor the remnant of this nation and spare it from the fullness of His wrath.
We must hold on until He can restore this nation back to “one nation under God”.
Be encouraged, for God will do exactly that, in His time.
He will do because of the faithfulness of the remnant.
Thank you for this blog today. It was exactly what I needed. Your boldness encourages me. God bless you, brother.
