The January 2013 anniversary of Roe vs. Wade is venerated (slightly) by a recent article featured in Houston’s ‘culture map’. In usual leftist style it’s filled with familiar methods used to dignify one of humanities most grotesque infirmities: murder. Those methods being the redefining of words and the use of unrestrained hysteria.
Feminist leadership is heard once again moaning and lamenting about the ‘burdens’ carried by women in their continued plight to choose the death of a person still in the womb. I’ve about scratched a bald spot on my head as I read this article. What plight? ‘Pro-choice’ is one of the most successful campaigns I’m aware of as American women are ending the lives of 1.2 million unborn people a year. They have successfully caused a clear majority of Americans to vote for not only pro-choice officials but demand our government financially assist abortion clinics from the public treasury. The hyper-emotion and fury from the left is no doubt the vehicle to which feminists continue to find their success in chaining every American tax payer to abortion. We’ve made popular heroes of those ‘fighting’ for ‘women’s health’. Oh the inhumanity of $12 birth control.
Jessica Valenti, keynote speaker and feminist author and founder of Feministing continues about the ‘unnecessary, invasive medical procedures that work to reverse women’s rights.’ I’m unclear how a sonogram would reverse the ‘right’ to have an abortion. Why don’t we see any of them bursting into the tears of oppression when a doctor uses a sonogram before he removes a woman’s gall bladder? They claim there is absolutely no difference between a fetus and a bodily organ or tissue. So why the big difference in their reaction to both?
Their struggle is never ending – not because they have limits on their access to abortions but that they have not yet received full support of society. That means specifically to gain total agreement from every segment of society that abortion is not murder and that what is removed from a woman’s body is not human life. The agenda of the left is not simply to have the government legalize their perversions. It is precisely, to have society embrace it. It is not enough to have 3,300 legal abortions per month. They are ‘exhausted’ because they have not claimed ownership of the American mind and received the praise for this ‘accomplishment’ they so terribly desire.
It’s curious isn’t it, how Planned Parenthood agonizes that abortions are only a part of what they do for women? Therefore, financial assistance from the public isn’t only justified but a requirement of basic human decency! So, why the anguish from feminist’s leaders over abortion if it’s just a fraction of their compassion for the powerless, weak and infirm female gender? “It’s not about abortion; it’s not about birth control. It’s about compassion and community, and the insistence that women be respected and supported” decree’s Valenti.
Understand what feminist leaders are actually demanding. ‘Respecting’ pro-abortion women means a total silence of all opposition. Clear victory for them comes when all Americans are in complete agreement that the slaughter of human innocence is simply a matter of ‘choice’.
We see the symptoms of delirium as feminist don’t even know what they are. Valenti calls out a ‘stereotype’ (prejudiced attitude) that feminists are viewed as ‘angry’. Then Valenti’s tumultuous cup runneth over with “I am exhausted, and I am shocked, and I am sad, and you know what? I am really (vulgar expletive) angry!” The pro-abortion movement is killing babies in the millions (aka ‘women’s health’), and they demand with a straight face respect and support. Not only is this an emotional melee – it’s a complete derangement of the mind.
I’m amused by the feminist argument of inequality because women have the exact same legal and constitutional rights as men. This is not about equality, but superiority.
The storm of unrest and chaos from the left that claims women are being injured by Pro- Life critics is simply a diversion. A tried and true method to hide their wicked desire to cleanse society of what they despise; inconvenience. Its only purpose is to shut down dialog that would cast a light of truth.
What feminists may hate worse than inconvenient life, are those who don’t embrace their wickedness as their own. Oh the agony of what to do with those who’ve escaped the abortionist knife! Those who won’t conform to the feminist rhetoric that abortion is not the end of a life. Those who do not swoon at the poetic howls of death as the ‘inconvenient’ are cleansed from society.
“We don’t do this work because of anger, we do this work because of love and we do this work because of compassion,” Jessica Valenti.
