The Word of God says: “Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”- Matthew 18:18-20
“Lord, we humbly come before You on behalf of our fellow Americans in Colorado and New Jersey who are facing devastating flooding and fires.
We pray for their hearts and minds, Lord, that their faith shall not be hampered and that despair shall not keep from trusting that you care for them and are able to make a way out of no way, in spite of these present calamities.
We pray comfort and healing tonight for the injured and for all who may be bereaved.
We ask that your mighty hand intervenes on behalf of any who may still be in danger from the floods and fire.
We pray for the firefighters, law enforcement, medical staff, the first respondents, volunteers, and all who are working to provide relief to the people of Colorado and New Jersey.
Bless the fruit of their labor and keep them safe as they diligently serve your precious creation in these troubled times.
Lord, it is Your voice that is over the waters. You are the God of glory thunders, and the Lord over many waters. Your voice is powerful and full of majesty (Psalm 29:3)
Your voice flashes forth flames of fire and Your voice shakes the wilderness (Psalm 29:7)
We ask you, Lord, to speak calm to the waters and to speak and end to the flames tonight.
Have mercy on us and forgive us for our sins. Hear the repentance of our hearts, Lord and heal our land (II Chronicles 7:14)
And this is the confidence that we have in You, that, if we ask any thing according to Your will, you do hear us, Lord. And if we know that You hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desire of You. (1 John 5:14-15).
We thank you for answering our prayers according to your Word and Your will. In Jesus name, we pray.”- By Stacy Swimp
