That is why I do not align myself with any political party, the Tea Party, or secular political movement at this juncture.
I much prefer to align myself with born again believers who understand spiritual warfare, first and foremost. Believers who use spiritual weapons of warfare rather than perpetuate divisive, toxic vitriol.“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.”- II Corinthians 10:4 Furthermore: “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”- Ephesians 6:11-18 Secondly, I stand with born again believers who understand that righteousness exalts a nation (Proverbs 13:4) and the only hope America has, politically, is to elect born again believers on every level of government who will honor God in the policies that they pass.
Those who say that we do not need born again believers in office and, particularly, as President of the United States of America, do not understand what the Lord meant when He said: “When the righteous rule, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people mourn.”- Proverbs 29:2
Too many political activist base their concepts on either conservatism or Liberalism, but not enough base their concepts on righteousness. They more fiercely defend and promote their political ideologies than they do the gospel of Jesus Christ. With them, I cannot stand. It is with those who stand upon righteousness that I align with.
